Among the things God really hates is dishonesty in business.

The best advice is rarely the easiest to find nor the most obvious to see. It takes effort to get to the heart of wisdom. Healing often hurts. Medicine often tastes bad. Discipline doesn't feel good, but it often results in moral improvement. God hates it when people deceive others about what they are getting for what they are paying. Keeping our commitments is a huge part of being godly. This means that we should be very careful in making those commitments. Do we think the one who made the eye will be blind to what we do and what happens to us? Keeping the right balance between work and rest is key to both provision and satisfaction.

There are things about our path and our future that we can't possibly know. Perhaps we should rather focus on what we can know. Those who get rich quick rarely stay rich long. When we anger authorities, that can have a big impact on our lives – and not in a good, comfortable way. Both vengeance and salvation belong to the Lord.
